With your help, we will be able to help more childhood cancer survivors like Michael. He is a two-time Ewing’s Sarcoma survivor and was recently awarded a College Scholars scholarship from Children's Cancer Cause for his biochemistry studies at the University of Washington.
On June 17, 2015, Michael was diagnosed with stage three Ewing's Sarcoma: a rare and aggressive bone cancer located in his left tibia on his last day of 8th grade.He endured limb salvage surgery that left him unable to walk for 14 months and had 14 rounds of chemotherapy that lasted between 3-5 days, only to be diagnosed with a stage four recurrence at 17.
Today, Michael is a cancer survivor attending the University of Washington. However, his fight with cancer caused financial hardships for his family, leaving him in a bind to pay for college. That's when Children's Cause was able to step in and help Michael with a scholarship.
